The definition of a “Great Day” from my point of view is: Seeing the speechless/smiley faces of the most hard-working employees when they receive a recognition🥇🏆
This award could be given every month or quarter, for the hole institution of per business unit; depends on the budget and the need of the institution.
What you need is:
-Think of an award (Certificate/gift card/award shield).
-Define the nomination criteria*
-Create a "Nomination Form" for the managers to fill out.
-Send an announcement for all employees to inform them about the rules and award.
*The nomination criteria:
Nominees will exhibit most if not all the following qualities.
-Work/actions above and beyond the regular expectations.
-Responsive, respectful and friendly with the others.
-Strong work ethics.
-Meet the deadlines.
-Good attendance.
And remember, Recognition is the GREATEST motivator :)
